Cosmetic Genital Surgery After Gastric Bypass or Medical Weight Loss

Loose, inelastic, redundant genital skin can result from extreme weight loss due to diet, exercise or bariatric surgery.  This redundant genital skin can result in hygiene issues and discomfort, problems or embarrassment during intimacy, sexual intercourse, exercise or when wearing tight clothing or bathing suits.

Multiple combined genital procedures such as a combined monsplasty (pubic lift), labial majora reduction and clitoral hood reduction may be performed to maximize the cosmetic genital results.  A team approach with a plastic surgeon to address the non-urologic cosmetic issues may be necessary to maximize results.
