JEFFREY S. PALMER, M.D.

Background

Dr. Jeffrey S. Palmer is an internationally renowned cosmetic and reconstructive urologist who is Board Certified in Urology and Subspecialty Certified in Pediatric Urology.  Dr. Palmer began his career as a pediatric and adolescent urologist specializing in genital surgery.  He found that parents of his patients were seeking a surgeon to address their own male and female issues, but could not find a skilled and proficient surgeon to perform surgeries such as circumcision revision, hidden penis (buried penis) repair, labiaplasty or clitoral hood reduction (clitoroplasty).  In response to the large number of inquires by adults requesting that Dr. Palmer perform their own surgery, he became a cosmetic and reconstructive genital surgeon of men, women and children of all ages.  Dr. Palmer applies to adults his expertise, techniques and experience in minimization of genital scars, meticulous attention to detail and extensive knowledge of genital anatomy required for the technically demanding skills for genital surgery in infants and children.  This background, skills, and experience is what contributes to the unique qualifications of Dr. Palmer in male and female genital surgery.

He contributed a chapter entitled “Management of Abnormalities of the External Genitalia in Boys” in Campbell-Walsh Urology (12th edition), the acclaimed multi-volume textbook that serves as a reference for urologists and other healthcare professionals throughout the world.
